NEEWER GR18C 18" LED Round Panel Video Light

Great value for money! Solid unit, colour is consistent across disc, good colour reporduction, and bright, could even use outside during the day as a close light I think. Here is HUE Pulse FX on 4m stand. Bag is OK.

This light unit is not small. It’s 18 inches in diameter and compared to my other 10 inch panel lights, it’s huge. However, the large size comes with tons of benefits. For one, this is a 65w panel which can get pretty bright. Also, the large size allows for v-mount batteries which makes it easy to power the unit freeing it from cables. The unit comes with the light itself, manual and power adapter packaged in a cover protected by foam.Using this light is pretty straightforward as you can control the brightness, color temperature from the dials on the back. You can also utilize the RGB mode to change the color to create mood lighting. It has built-in effect modes to simulate different lighting effects and since this is an RGB light, the effects are more realistic and impressive. While you can control all this on the back panel, it’s difficult to dial through as when you change the modes, it resets itself. Best way to control this is by using the Neewer app and it works flawlessly. I actually appreciate the fact that I can use it in guest mode and not provide any data. Using the app, you can control and configure the light to fully utilize all its functions. On top of this, this can be battery powered, which is very impressive. I use it with v-mount battery and it works very well creating a wonderful fill light. Highly recommended!!

My first test with this light was for flat lay photography. My client required something simple, but useable, which this light was able to do single-handedly.I'm no expert, but I think the color rendition is extraordinary, and I don't say that lightly.I've tested well over 20 different lights with a variety of features, including RGB. I can confidently say that this light blows those out of the water.With that said, you do get to customize and tweak the light quite extensively. From the color temperature to the green-magenta shift, you pretty much have all the controls to adjust the light properly.Lastly, I find the v-mount compatibility extremely practical. I appreciate the efforts made by NEEWER to skip the typical NP-F battery solution and instead integrate a v-mount battery mount as that is the standard battery for many videographers such as myself. Overall, highly recommended.

Forget modifiers, umbrellas, softboxes, you name it...this light does it all without any of them. Effects, Gel simulations, RGB, CCT 2500 to 8500, automatic color matching from the smartphone app, and on and on. I cannot wait to video my next podcast with this. The light is incredibly consistent from edge to edge. Seriously, you cannot see any LED, hotspots or dark areas...it's just perfect. This light will handle anything you throw at it, but realize it's going to be a little hard to focus without shutters or optional light grid.The only thing you need to be aware of, is the weight. At 8lbs+ it's a monster and if you're thinking of putting this on a boom, you better have a large professional one with a serious counterweight. I do, but even so find this easier to handle and balance on a standard light pole (not included).Comes in a very nice carrying bag with soft foam insert, power adaptor, cord and instructional booklet. The smartphone app is downloadable for free and will run most - if not all - Neewer lights. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about this light. You can even buy the optional battery for powering in the field, though I'll probably just take my EcoFlow Delta mini as I do on my of my remote locations shoots. Another winner from Neewer...wow!
